Understanding the SX-5100 Roll Alignment Tool

RollCheck® is a visual tool to speed-up the replacement of rolls in the processing industry. The RollCheck® roll alignment tool uses the latest industry technology to deliver serious results. Patented reflected beam technology provides an effective, fast and simple way to measure and correct vertical angle (pitch) and horizontal angle (parallelism) between the rolls.

A Laser emitter mounted on a reference roll projects two Class 2 fanned 635nm laser lines onto the reflector unit mounted on the roll to be measured and adjusted, allowing the operator to view the alignment condition. RollCheck® eliminates cumbersome trial and error adjustments leading to scrap, loss of time and output reduction. Simplicity of operation makes it the ideal tool for roll maintenance.
